Alright, so I had a little question, and I’m sure its probably as obvious as I think it is, but I thought I’d ask.

Ok.

I know we’ve got some indulgences that are going on for Friday, saying a certain prayer in front of the crucifix, after communion on Friday. I also know there’s another partial indulgence for using items that are appropriately blessed, like a rosary and a crucifix. I don’t know if you can kind of combine that partial indulgence with that plenary indulgence...

Oh yeah!

And I myself don’t own a blessed crucifix. But can I go to the church and use the crucifix that’s up front? Cause I assume that’s blessed.

I would assume that’s blessed too, and if you bring a crucifix to church you can probably ask father to bless it. You know, that’s something that I do very much on a regular bases. You know, people bring stuff and you bless them. So you could ask him to do that. And this might be a good motivation and a good opportunity to get you to do that. But yah, you could use a crucifix up there if that’s what they have there. Sure. And I’m sure that that would be blessed. But yeah, that would be a good thing.

Yup! That’s good for me. Um, if we want to add a little more substance, like, if my mom had a blessed rosary at a time and she wanted to pray a rosary with me and I didn’t have one. I’m sure you could borrow her rosary that that would still count?

No of course! Of course! The rosary is on… excuse me, The blessing is on the rosary, not necessarily on the user, though of course we would assume that the user would seek God’s blessings too.
