Suggested acts of charity on behalf of the souls in Purgatory |
Please look closely at any specific dates within the list, and examine the Notes at the bottom of this chart. |
|
Note: It is to be understood that in order to gain a second plenary indulgence in a day, that a plenary indulgence has already been previously gained in that same day. Note: This grant states that Communion must be received a second time (within the context of a Mass) in order to gain this second indulgence. It does not state whether the other conditions need to be repeated. My personal suggestion would be to repeat them anyway (except for confession, which covers multiple days/indulgences) Note: This second gained plenary indulgence can only be applied to the poor souls in purgatory. The first gained plenary indulgence can be offered to these same souls, or applied to one’s own soul. No indulgence may be applied to someone else who is still alive. Note: These actions are provided as personal suggestions. They are not all Jubilee specific indulgences and they do not cover all the possible ways of doing acts of charity on behalf of the poor souls in purgatory. However many of the ways listed are legitimate indulgences provided in the Manuel of Indulgences. |
